Welcome back....what's next?!

Since reopening on 12th April this weekend sees us welcoming our third set of weekenders, it has been so good to reopen the doors to our accommodation.

Sycamore Cottage has opened its arms again with guests enjoying its homely feel, our four legged guests have explored many parts of Northumberland, and their owners have enjoyed the comfort the cottage provides. Guests are returning for their second, third and fourth times this summer...wow, given we haven't been open long we are honestly taken aback...thank you.

It has also been so good to welcome guests back to our farm, after only being open 7 weeks then being placed under restrictions it would be wrong to say we didn't feel a bit cheated as we had only got started. However the 5 month closure did enable us to reflect on the huge achievement we made between obtaining planning permission in on 15 May 2020 and opening on 11 September of the same year, particularly with the Covid-19 restrictions. We also made some decisions, such as having set check in days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) which means that no one is disturbed by us cleaning and being on site on non-check in days.

The Pods feel very special to us, we have been planning on offering on farm accommodation for over 17 years and we really feel like they are a little retreat. As we say to guests - we live 200 yards away and feel like it is a world away from home, it's true....we thoroughly enjoy the site and seeing other people enjoy it is a real pleasure.

On the farm we have finished lambing....almost, there is always a handful who will hold on for what seems like forever! This year the weather has been relentless, we have had some glorious days but the cold wind has made it harder than usual. However sights like this from Willow Pod make it worthwhile, guests waking up with little fluffy faces looking at them!

It looks like we have a busy summer ahead of us which is amazing, being our first season we really didn't know what to expect. We can't wait to welcome each and every one of you to our home, seeing families and couples enjoying the views of our luxurious accommodation is so very rewarding.

Being a working farm we do block out dates at key points of the year when we think work might disturb guests enjoyment. If at all possible we will release dates at short notice, so do keep an eye on our calendar and social media pages for updates - the latest one being 17th - 21st May 2021.

We have some exciting news on a couple of fronts, it is too early to say what they are just yet but keep an eye on our social media pages which will keep you up to date with what we are involved with..... one day we will sit back and have a break!!

Looking to the Autumn enquiries are starting to come in and dates are being secured, I think this is the theme of 2021 - book early!

As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. We do love a chat :)
